Darood e Taj
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information daroodtaj.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed this site to work almost entirely without collecting personal data — most features run in your browser and stay on your device.
Information we do NOT collect
We do not require an account, so we never ask for your name or email to read, listen, count recitations or download files.
Your recitation counter data, font-size preferences and language preference are stored locally on your device (in your browser's localStorage) and are never transmitted to us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may temporarily log standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time. This is used only for security, preventing abuse, and aggregate traffic statistics. It is not used to profile you individually.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries strictly for functionality:
These are functional, not tracking, mechanisms. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings; the site will simply re-detect your language on your next visit.
- A language-preference cookie/localStorage entry, so the site opens in your chosen language instead of re-detecting it every visit.
- localStorage entries that remember your font sizes and recitation counter progress on this device.
Advertising
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense to cover hosting costs. If and where ads are shown:
Google and its partners may use cookies (such as the Google Advertising Cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, or manage vendor cookies via www.aboutads.info. Where required by law (e.g. GDPR/EEA), a consent notice will be shown before non-essential cookies are set.
- Ads never appear inside the prayer text itself while you are reading.
- We do not control and do not receive the personal data advertisers may collect; their use of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Analytics
If we use analytics, it is limited to privacy-respecting, aggregate measurements (page views, approximate country, device type) that cannot identify you personally. We do not build advertising profiles from analytics data.
Contact form and email
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it solely to respond to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list or share your address with third parties.
Children's privacy
The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no account or personal data input exists, children can use the reading features without any data collection beyond what is described above.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we hold almost no personal data, the practical steps are simple:
If you believe we hold personal data about you that you want removed, contact us and we will respond promptly.
- Clear your browser storage/cookies to remove language, font-size and counter data from your device instantly.
- Opt out of ad personalisation using the Google links above.
- Email us for anything else.
Third-party services
Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts and audio/PDF files are served from our own domain. Each external service receives standard request data (like your IP address) as part of serving its content. We keep the number of third parties to a minimum.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date below and, for significant changes, note them on this page. The version posted here is always the current one.
